On one class trip, we visited Lago Ritom. I took a solo hike. We left early in the morning on a three-hour bus journey north, took a funicular up the mountain to a spot where there was a tiny restaurant overlooking the mountains, and had the day to explore the many guided trails that were available around the lake through the mountain range. Afterward, we met for ice cream and returned by bus to Lugano.
